Statement Of Intent

I plan to use a font that I selected from a website called daft.com (a site that makes fonts) which will be conventional of the pop genre. The font I chose is inky and I will the font multi-coloured. I chose to use different colours to attract my target audience as they like bright and vibrant colours. The masthead will be key iconography as it will help the audience identify the brand. I will use a variety of images as may target audience read magazines that contains a lot of images. I will ensure that my image uses direct address as it will make the audience more engaged and into the magazine. As my target audience is aged 14 - 18 years old that are of both genders, I will be representing the artist as energetic and youthful as it will appeal and be inspirational to the target audience as they can relate to the artist. Fonts and analysis

Image
Fonts and analysis: 1) Analysis: The sketchy design of the font would be used to attract to young teens. It also connotes school and education, as most use this design, and so would suit a magazine about that. This is also why it would attract teens as they are in schools and would be interested in news about it. 2) Analysis: The bold font with the white inner lines connotes strength and a bit of rebelliousness which would appeal to teens as they like to do what they want as they see themselves as important. This would fit a magazine for high school as teens go to high school. 3) Analysis: The inky and slanting font connotes horror and the feeling of the super natural. This would appeal to teens and adults as it makes the reader feel cold and the sense of someone creeping up behind them. This would suit a horror magazine for example about scary movies. 4) Analysis: The spotted lined font connotes war and violence creates a sense of strength. These characteristics make it se...

Cover lines

Image
1) An anchorage text is used to give the main image meaning. This used because an image can have different meaning and could be interpreted as something which the magazine is not about. An example is a rose, it could mean marriage but it can also have a vastly different meaning such as funerals. The anchorage text that I will be using will be "Gamer to Artist" 2) Cover lines: a)"Expert Terraria player changes career to rock music?!" b)"Newest rock artist takes the world by surprise!" c)"Rock is declining" d)"Will the best grime artist retire?" e)"Irfan murdered after mocking the pop artist Monserta?!" f)"The newest on Monserta" g)"Monserta's newest music banned in Germany" h)"Exclusive content from Radish" 3)Puffs: a)"Free exclusive copy of Terraria" b)"The latest on all music gossip" c)"The best rock magazine" d)"Exlusive interview on the ...
